The Procession of the Governor of Gyeongsang on his Inspection Tour at his Post

The governor, who had jurisdiction over administration, military affairs and inspection, was appointed from among the government officers of second- or higher rank.

He was supposed to govern and inspect his province by making a tour during his term, but the inspection tour system was replaced with the stationary inspection system after the Japanese invasion of Korea.

The governor was assisted by a secretary, a judge, and other civil officers.

Inspection tour refers to the duty of the governor to make an inspection tour of his territorial jurisdiction.

When the governor made a tour, the procession was accompanied by hundreds of guards and people.
