119REO 'Rescue Each Other '

Hello, we are 119REO.

119REO is an eco-friendly brand that carries the message, "Rescue Each Other." We upcycle and recycle firefighting gear, such as turnout gear, heat-resistant suits, and fire hoses used by South Korean firefighters, to create fashion bags and accessories.

Turnout gear is made from 'aramid,' a super fiber that is five times stronger than steel and can withstand temperatures of up to 400°C. However, more than 70 tons of turnout gear are discarded annually after their usage period expires, and current upcycling methods only allow for 10% to be recycled.

In response, 119REO has developed a proprietary process to fully recycle the remaining 90% of turnout gear. We have created "ARAMIDAS," a high-quality recycled meta-aramid short fiber. With this recycled material, we produce vintage fashion bags called REO BAGS, allowing the value of turnout gear to be appreciated in everyday life.

Furthermore, a portion of our proceeds is donated to support the rightful welfare of firefighters, helping with cancer treatment, PTSD recovery, and improving living conditions.
